Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: Over 52 Per Cent Civil Work Completed In Gujarat; Overall Completion Reaches 26 Per Cent

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project has made significant progress, with over 26% of the work completed, according to the latest update from the Railway Ministry.

The ministry shared the update on Twitter, stating that Maharashtra had completed 13.72% of the overall work, while Gujarat had completed over 52% of the civil work and had an overall completion rate of 36.93%.

The project has completed 257.06 km of pile work and 155.48 km of pier work. Additionally, 37.64 km of girders have been launched, 8,003 trees have been transplanted, and 83,600 saplings have been planted as part of the project.

The high-speed rail project has taken another step forward with the awarding of a contract worth Rs 3,681 crore to Hindustan Construction Company and Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited for construction of the Bandra-Kurla Complex Station, which is the only underground station on the high-speed rail corridor.
