Maharashtra Government led by Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has launched a new rural housing project “Maha Awas Yojana” which will see 8.82 lakh houses built in rural Maharashtra in 100 days period.
The project is estimated at a cost of Rs. 4,000 crore to build 8,82,135 houses in scheduled period.
The project is scheduled from 20th November to February 28, 2021, this housing project will include all necessary amenities such as sanitation, toilets etc.
Chief Minister also ensured, there will be no shortage of funds to rural housing project, adding houses should be built strong so people appreciate government’s efforts to build strong and beautiful homes.
Hasan Sharif, Rural Development Minister said, various measure will be taken to make space available for people with no housing space, and to regularize encroachments of government owned residential land.
Minister of State for Rural development, Abdul Sattar expressed the confidence, said infrastructure development in rural areas have been accelerated with this project, and this scheme will bring relief to rural homeless and poor.
