By March 2023, Bengaluru’s first double-decker flyover linking South Bengaluru and the IT hubs of Whitefield and Electronics City will be finished.
The 3.3 km long first road-cum-Metro rail flyover connects Ragigudda and the Central Silk Board of Marenahalli Road (CSB) and is currently being constructed by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL).
The lower deck is 8 metres above the ground and will be used for automobiles, while the upper deck is 16 metres above the ground and will be used for the metro line.
Cities like Jaipur, Nagpur and Mumbai have similar structures.

BL Yashwant Chavan, Chief Public Relations Officer of BMRCL said, “The structure will be completed by March 2023 but work on loops and ramps near CSB junction will continue beyond this period. The road flyover has to be connected to the loops and ramps for motorists to use the facility. This work has just commenced”, reports Times Of India.
