The Aerocity station may have a triple interchange in the future, with the provision for NCRTC corridor to Alwar via interchange facilities at this station.
The fourth phase of the Delhi Metro will include 11 additional interchange stations, thereby enhancing the interconnectivity between the different corridors and expanding the metro network’s coverage to maximum areas of Delhi NCR.

The ongoing expansion in Phase-4 is being implemented with three new priority corridors, along with several extensions of the existing network.
Metro Corridors In Phase-4
Out of the new corridors, the 23.6 km Silver Line — Aerocity-Tughlaqabad corridor — will feature three interchange stations: Delhi Aerocity, Chhatarpur, and Tughlaqabad.
On the 29.3 km R K Ashram Marg-Janakpuri West corridor — which is an extension of the Magenta Line — seven new interconnections will come up at RK Ashram Marg, Pulbangash, Pitampura, Azadpur, Majlis Park, Haiderpur Badli Mor, and Peeragarhi.
The proposed interchanges at Pulbanghash and R K Ashram aims to further improve metro connectivity to central Delhi with areas such as Ghaziabad, Rohini, Noida, and Dwarka.
For the Pink line corridor — running 12.3 km long between Majlis Park and Maujpur — one interchange will be constructed at Maujpur.
The other expansions under the Phase-4 includes connectivity between — Inderlok-Indraprastha, Rithala-Bawana, and Lajpat Nagar-Saket.

Anuj Dayal, principal executive director of corporate communications at DMRC, stated, “The Delhi Aerocity metro station on Airport Express Line will become a major interchange hub of the Delhi Metro network as it is being expanded to provide additional connectivity to the Tughlaqabad-Aerocity Silver Line corridor, being constructed as part of Phase-IV,”, as per ET report.
He added that the station may become a triple interchange in the future, with the provision for National Capital Region Transport Corporation’s (NCRTC) corridor to Alwar, via interchange facilities at Delhi Aerocity.
Additionally, the Tughlaqabad station is set to be the first metro interchange with an underground parking facility, integrated with the main complex for seamless passenger movement.
With this interchange on silver line, passengers from Faridabad, located in Haryana, will be able to have direct connectivity when travelling to Delhi’s domestic airport terminal, providing a more convenient travel option with reduced time.
Currently, passengers have to travel on the violet line till Central Secretariat station and then switch to the Airport Express Line, taking around 1.5 hours in total travel time.
Furthermore, the Azadpur metro station will offer connections to three different corridors.
It will be the second ‘triple interchange facility’ station of the Delhi Metro network, following the Kashmere Gate metro station.
Currently, the station serves as a junction for two metro corridors, yellow and pink line. Its significance will increase further with the inclusion of interchange station on RK Ashram-Janakpuri West corridor.
