Ahead Of Ram Temple’s Opening, Tata Group’s IHCL Signs Agreement To Build Two Luxury Hotels In Ayodhya

Ahead of the inauguration of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya early next year, India’s largest hospitality firm Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of two new hotels in the holy city.

IHCL, which manages a portfolio of hotels, resorts, jungle safaris, palaces, spas and in-flight catering service, is part of the Tata Group.

The hotels, which will be under the Vivanta and Ginger brands, will be Greenfield projects, and are set to be the first branded hotels in Ayodhya.

The development comes months ahead of the scheduled opening of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya for the devotees in January 2024.

IHCL has partnered with Bhardwaj Global Infraventures Private Limited for the construction of these two hotels in Ayodhya.

Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, executive vice president – real estate and development, IHCL said, “These signings are in line with IHCL’s vision to strengthen its presence across spiritual centres in India. Ayodhya is an important pilgrimage site and receives a very high footfall throughout the year. These hotels will also complete the travel circuit with Lucknow and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. We are delighted to partner with Bhardwaj Global Infraventures Private Limited for these two hotels”.

The complex with the two hotels, sprawled over five acres, is strategically located at a comfortable driving distance from the upcoming Ayodhya International Airport.

The 100-room Vivanta will offer an all-day diner, large banqueting spaces, and recreational facilities including a pool, and health club.

The 120-room Ginger will house Qmin, the all-day diner serving local and global cuisines, meeting rooms, and a fitness centre.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 19 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands across Uttar Pradesh including nine under development.
