The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has announced the launch of a new land allotment scheme for ‘Data Centres’, reports Business Today.
The scheme has the potential to generate revenue of Rs 1,000 crore as the authority plans to allot 13 land parcels and expects an investment worth Rs 20,000 crore.
In a statement released by GNIDA, they revealed that two of the 13 plots for data centres are situated in the Sector Knowledge Park-5, while the other 11 plots are located in the Sector Techzone area.
These plots range from 4,047 square metres to 1.07 lakh square metres in area — providing ample opportunities for businesses looking to invest in the region’s technology sector.
Furthermore, the investments that will be generated through this scheme are expected to create about 10,000 job opportunities in the region.
Greater Noida Authority’s CEO, Ritu Maheshwari, mentioned that the region is quickly becoming a hub for data centres. She further stated that “investors are impressed with the infrastructure and connectivity here.”
To allocate the plots for this scheme, the process will be carried out through an e-auction, providing a fair and transparent process for all participants.
According to the statement, interested individuals have until 4 July to complete their registration, while the deadline for processing fee submissions is 6 July. On the other hand, all documents must be submitted on or before 8 July.
