A highly accomplished bureaucrat, Dr Mukherjee has won accolades for his role in multiple mega infrastructure project currently underway in Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Dr Mukherjee is widely credited with playing a critical role in envisioning and execution of iconic Mumbai Trans harbour Bridge, multiple metro lines, the under-construction Navi Mumbai International airport and many transport infrastructure projects.
Helming the organisation that is the nodal agency for planning the comprehensive development of Mumbai Metropolitan region that spans 5 districts, Dr Mukherjee provides leadership to the region that is already the world’s biggest urban agglomeration and in over a decade, set to be a trillion-dollar economic engine.
